Hi all. May I ask how you are coping with the metallic taste because of oral chemotherapy? I tried lemon but it helps for few minutes only.

That metallic taste can be really challenging to deal with during treatment, and it's understandable that you're looking for solutions that last longer than just a few minutes. Many people in this community have found different approaches helpful - some try brushing their teeth more frequently, using plastic utensils instead of metal ones, or experimenting with different flavors like mint or ginger. Hopefully others here can share what has worked for them, and it's always worth discussing persistent side effects with your care team too.

I was told to use plastic ware in place of metal. Not sure if it works our not but it’s worth a try. Have not had chemo and so I have not tried it.

Metaqil mouth rinse may help you. I think you can order it on Amazon.
