I was diagnosed with Tnbc sept 2021. I had chemo including the red devil, a lumpectomy, 27 rounds of radiation, followed by keytruda. By July of 2022 it had moved to 3 nodules in my lung. I was taken off keytruda, had a lobectomy to detour it was tnbc in my lung or if it was lung cancer. It was tnbc. I them was on xeloda for about 10 months until the nodules started to grow instead of shrink. I then had to go back on chemo, trodelvy this time . Had to tweet the doseage so I could tolerate it. Finally the nodules were gone and I was able to finish trodelvy in Dec of 2024. My question here is , is hair loss a major problem/concern for any or most of you? I bought an expensive wig the first time and it worked my nerves so bad I couldn’t stand it. So I wear hats. But what bothers me is the lack of eyebrows and eyelashes. You see all these folks in commercials and they all have eyebrows n eyelashes. Did they not fall out like mine did or are they fake? I had eyebrows tattooed on but I can’t be bothered to put fake eyelashes on every time I need to run an errand. I never feel like I look like myself and that bothers me. My hair and eyelashes are slowly growing in, my eyebrows never did after the first chemo, hence the tattoo. Even on days when I felt good, I never felt like I looked like myself and that bothered me. Please tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Hair loss, especially the loss of eyebrows and eyelashes, is one of the most common and emotionally challenging side effects that many people in this community experience during treatment. The people in commercials often do use makeup, false eyelashes, or have had treatments that affected their hair differently - everyone's response varies, so what you're experiencing is completely normal and shared by many others here who understand exactly how it feels to not recognize yourself in the mirror.

I feel almost the same way …. I have a group of peeps that are in the ok group for the bald head! However, I got all sorts of style of CHEAP wigs that I just throw on (like my pic) from Temu!!!!! I have had my head painted and people love ❤️ it and more people came up to me and talked about their story! It was so uplifting! As for the I lashes and brows - thrive cosmetics has a recommend lash growth serum- ? - I will do fake and it will be a pain as I swim a lot! Basically- I don’t like it - so I choose to own it and make it mine - not it defining me!!!!! Good luck!!! Hugs 🤗 to you!

I did loose all my hair with 2 Chemotherapy and became very ill. My body had rejected the treatments. Fortunately my hair did grow back.
