Breast and underarm swelling after radiation is a concern that many people in this community have experienced. This type of swelling can be related to lymphedema or other post-radiation effects, and there are various management approaches that healthcare providers often recommend, including gentle exercises, compression garments, and specialized therapy. Consider discussing this with your oncology team or asking for a referral to a lymphedema specialist who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific situation.

I just had Breast Cancer surgery last Tuesday on the right breast this is the second time around just different sides. The swelling and pain I didn't have on the other side. It's uncomfortable and painful I only thing you can do is take Tylenol because you're not suppose to put anything on it ask your Dr. to find out if something you can use I wish you the best

When I went through my first round of radiation my breast did the same thing. It took about two weeks after my treatment for it to go back down. Best of luck.

I experienced this after radiation. It went away on its own after about two weeks. I also used ‘Aquapohr’ skin healing cream, which helped a lot.
