2 years agoI have developed a seroma after lumpectomy and radiation. Breast surgeon is monitoring after results of mammogram, ultrasound and MRI were benign. Measures 2.5cm by 3.5cm. Any suggestions on how to relieve discomfort of seroma?

Many patients experience discomfort from seromas after breast surgery, and it's encouraging that your medical team is actively monitoring the situation with such thorough imaging. While waiting for your surgeon's guidance on management options, some patients find gentle comfort measures helpful, though it's always best to check with your care team about what's appropriate for your specific situation. 6 months agoI also have a seroma. It developed 11 days after lumpectomy. I use a compression bra and heating pad and in 6 days it has gotten much better. I'm worried that my upcoming radiation will make it more painful
