I’ve had it for 12 years. Surgery, radiation and xeloda oral chemo. It’s been in check.

So happy to hear it has been kept in check for over a decade and I pray this continues on! So grateful you shared this encouraging experience with all of those on here who are maybe just starting their treatment plans and are feeling so scared. So much hope! 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator)

How was the zeloda ?? Any stomach inflammation or bacterial infections in the tummy? How was fatigue and shortness of breath? How many treatments and did you pause at any time or reduce treatment ?

Why did you have radiation treatment and what 1 2 3 4 a or b or c score was the cancer ?

I started with 1500 mg two times a day, but had foot problems with blisters and toe nail problems, so it was reduced to 1000 mg two times a day, and most of the side effects cleared up. I mostly just feel tired in the afternoons, and have not had stomach problems with xeloda. I have had a couple of pauses before colonoscopies and/or colds and minor chest infections. I had radiation because I had a tumor pressing against my sciatic nerve causes pain and neuropathy. I am stage 4.
