What are the side effects of Tucatinib for HER2+ cancer?

KV

My husband has stage 4 HER2+ colorectal cancer diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago. He has just finished the Enhertu protocol as the tumors have stopped responding. He is to start the next level drugs, an infusion every 3 weeks and a daily pill, Tucatinib. Has anyone on here gone through that treatment and what were your side effects? Are they worse then the Enhertu? Thank you.

I just finished my infusions and I’m starting to take maintenance pills. Does anyone have info on the side effects of the medication? I am also seriously considering starting a ivermectin regimen also.

Has anyone done Irinotecan/Cetuximab for Stage 4 CRC?

GG

Has anyone with Stage 4 CRC been on an Irinotecan/Cetuximab regimen? 2 years ago I went through 14 rounds of FLOX and almost died from 5-FU Toxicity. They said I was most likely cured. 10 months later it showed up in my liver. They said that was normal and surgery would “cure” me. Now 4 months after having that surgery I have another tumor in my liver AND a lymph node near my hepatic artery. The oncologist says they won’t operate because it wouldn’t be curative and I need to go back on chemo. They can’t give me FLOX again so they’re proposing irinotecan & cetuximab every 2 weeks. And even with the chemo they are telling me I probably only have 2 years to live. I’m 62 yo and have a husband and disabled son at home. I’m not ready to leave yet. I’ll do whatever it takes to live as long as I can but I’m afraid of the side effects. I went through so much last time. If anyone has been on either or these drugs and can tell me how they faired I’d appreciate it. X-posted in another thread

How to manage appetite loss and dizziness during cancer treatment?

DP

Appetite comes and goes. Today I had a big sandwich because I hadn't eaten much in two days and have been dizzy for three days. On Lonsurf and have low red, white counts and low ANC. Wife asks if there is something I can take for it. Im like "there's something I could not take" but that would shorten the trip. Anyway, just venting. Keep up the fight.

What does it mean when cancer stays in the original spot after treatment?

Well thought my husband was cancer free. His pet scan came back and the cancer was not found anywhere but the original place on the abdominal wall. Don't know what to do. Has to do a different chemotherapy. Please pray for him and our family. The one doctor says stage 3 but I don't know.
