Many people in this community are navigating similar challenges with advanced colorectal cancer, and sharing experiences can provide valuable support and perspective. The treatment journey with chemotherapy can feel overwhelming, but connecting with others who understand what this experience is like often helps patients feel less alone. Consider sharing more about how the treatment is going or what specific aspects of coping would be most helpful to discuss - this community has many members who may have insights to offer.

I'm currently battling stage 4 metastatic colon cancer which has spread through my colon as well as my lower back (L4 and L5) along with a couple other areas of my vertebraes around C2 through C4 including my entire right hip and on my left ribcage between the 4th and 5th ribs. Since June 10th I've been going through chemotherapy which I do every 2 weeks along with being stuck with a pump for 2 days and I have to do this for 6 months after the IU Tumor Board determined that aggressively attacking the cancer was the best option. On July 28th I will start doing Radiation therapy on my lower back, right hip andy left ribcage for pain management only.

I have stage 4 CRC. It initially spread to my lungs which was surgically removed. Now it has spread to my liver which we are trying to manage through chemo. This round of chemo has been rough and includes Xeloda, irinotecan, and avastin.
