3 months agoFinally had to get a Port put in. My wife is worried about potential for infection cause I go visit my mom regularly at a memory care facility, she has Dementia. Not thrilled about it but at least no more getting stuck 5 or 6 times to find a vein. Doc switched me to Opdualog and start another round of radiation next week. Hope all of you are doing well and I am praying and thinking about you all in this challenging journey we are on. Stay positive, stay strong!!!

3 months agoThis is such a thoughtful question about balancing cancer treatment safety with staying connected to loved ones. Ports do require extra attention to prevent infection, so discussing specific precautions for visiting care facilities with your oncology team would be really valuable - they can provide guidance based on your individual situation and the facility's environment. It's wonderful that you're maintaining that important bond with your mom during treatment, and the community here understands how meaningful those visits can be while managing health concerns.

2 days agoHi Jill, I had my 2nd Opdualog infusion and Signtera test as well yesterday. They also started giving me an infusion to help strengthen my bones since the cancer seems to be attaching itself to them. I hope your treatment went well and your blood test shows positive results. I hate the waiting part but that seems to be what we do these days. Always getting some test or scan then anxiously wait for the results.
