What side effects should I expect from Opdivo and Yervoy combination?

Hi everyone. I was Dx with melanoma lesion in L arm wth positive sentinel node bx started on Keytruda for 8 months before recurrence in L axilla detected on pet scan Changed to opdivo plus Yervoy. 1sr treatment was last Friday. What side effects have people experienced when did they start and how often did you experience them?? Has anyone had good success on these drugs I was put in them as a before surgery option to try to reduce size of tumors in hopes of reducing extent of node dissection

How do you cope when waiting for treatment to start feels endless?

Just checking in to see how everyone doing? Still waiting on my liver counts to come down so I can start my Opdualag. I had a port out in in February and still haven’t been able to use it yet and this Prednisone is a nightmare. Haven’t had a good nights sleep since been on it. They dropped me from 80 to 60 this week and my levels are down but they still want to wait one more week and see if they come down more. Plus, going on 3 weeks since brain MRI and no results, frustrating as hell! Anyway, hope you all are hanging in there and doing well, just needed to vent.

How long does it take for liver levels to improve before starting Opdualag?

Waiting on bloodwork to see if liver counts came down so I can start Opdualag. Just wanted to say I hope you all are doing well with your treatments and feeling good!!

Why is my cancer treatment on hold due to high liver counts?

I was suppose to start Opdualg today but that’s been put on hold due to my latest blood work. My liver counts are high for some reason so they are pausing my treatment until they can figure out what’s going on. Doc said it could be a side effect from the Opdivo but I have been taking that for almost 2 years and never had a problem. Have an appointment today to see what the plan is. I always get panicked when miss treatments, makes me feel kind of exposed or something, but hoping they can figure it out soon. Hope you all are doing well with your treatments.

Is it safe to visit memory care facilities with a cancer port?

Finally had to get a Port put in. My wife is worried about potential for infection cause I go visit my mom regularly at a memory care facility, she has Dementia. Not thrilled about it but at least no more getting stuck 5 or 6 times to find a vein. Doc switched me to Opdualog and start another round of radiation next week. Hope all of you are doing well and I am praying and thinking about you all in this challenging journey we are on. Stay positive, stay strong!!!

Has anyone taken BRAF/MEK inhibitors with immunotherapy like Opdualag?

Has anyone taken BRF/met inhibitors? My doctor has suggested taking this and switching from Opdivo to Opdualag and taking both the oral and immunotherapy together.
