How long does it take to get cancer test results back?

Hi Jill, finally got the results. It appears the spot on my spine isn’t any bigger was lit up brighter and is more active and the spot on my rib bone looks like it responded to the radiation. They also said there were “faint” spots on my right lung and colon but they do not feel it’s the melanoma because they said it lights up much brighter. I since had my appointment at UPMC Hillman in Pittsburgh and this doctor was amazing. He helped pioneer immunotherapy for melanoma and was so thorough and detailed so I am switching from where I was going to there. He is also changing my treatment to Opdivo and Yervoy at a higher dosage than before. It appears I will be in much better hands here and won’t have to wait weeks for results and answers so I feel a little relief. How is everything going with you? I hope you are doing and feeling well.

Allis good. I just had a biopsy on my thigh , if that is negative, I should be cancer free 🙏🍀. I have a Mayo Clinic appt on September 7th. Always helps to have a well known center to look you over. I’m glad you changed and have a good facility to treat you. I’m so happy you are in good hands and doing better.
