25 days agoHad Scan yesterday, now the grueling wait for the results. A little nervous because my last Signatera blood test was not the best. Did three rounds of Opduolag so hoping that is helping. Hope everyone else is doing well with their treatments and has a nice 4th of July.

24 days agoScan results typically take anywhere from a few days to two weeks, depending on the type of scan and your healthcare facility's process. The waiting period can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with treatment uncertainty. Wishing you strength during this anxious time, and hoping others in the community can share their experiences with scan result timelines to help ease some of the worry.

15 days agoHi William. Any results from Your scan yet??

15 days agoMy oncologist asked for my CAT scan stat. Got the results the same day. One nodule in my left lung was just slightly larger. The other one was the same size as before. I've been off immunotherapy for a few weeks so I'm not surprised. Scheduled to restart Opdualag next Wednesday anyway. 😉

15 days agoHi Beverly, still waiting for the results. They say they are short staffed and it may take a few weeks to get the results which makes the anxiousness of the wait longer. Thank you so much for asking. How have you been feeling and doing with everything?

13 days agoWilliam I can’t believe it’s taking so l long to get your scan report. My doctor had the report to give me 2 hrs after the scan! It must be terribly frustrating to wait so long. I’m doing ok. Had my 2nd dose of remicade today to Try to cool down colitis side effects. Node dissection surgery scheduled in 2 weeks if all goes well

13 days agoHi Beverly, I agree it takes way too long for these results, my brain MRI took a month. I am calling today to see if they can move things along because, as you know, the waiting and the unknown is brutal. Plus, they always send the results to My Chart, which is the App, and I see the results before the doctors see them and trying to decipher what’s good and bad can be challenging at times. I hope your colitis calms down and your surgery goes well. Will keep you in my prayers and please keep us posted on how it all goes. Thank you once again for checking in with, I appreciate it.

13 days agoI have an ongoing discussion with ChatGPT after bloodwork, which for me is weekly. I call it Chet. It's amazing how helpful it is and how human it seems. I hope you can get your results soon. 🙏👍

13 days agoHi David, hope you feeling well. My wife uses ChatGPT all the time for my bloodwork and scans as well. It does seem to be helpful and I always tease her cause hers has a British accent and my wife sometimes thinks she is a real person😂. Hope you are doing and feeling well.

13 days agoWilliam something is way wrong for your results to take that long. Talk to the office manager. If you have a choice, use a different imaging center. 🙏🍀

13 days agoBeverly how is the Remicade working? I’m more constipation these days. Good luck with surgery. Where will your surgery be located?

12 days agoThank you Jill. I was telling my wife that everyone on here seems to get their results so much quicker and it doesn’t seem normal to take this long plus it’s grueling to wait day after day then weeks. Been with AHN cancer institute but a lot of people have been telling me I should be going to UPMC Hillman cancer institute. Thank you again for your advice and I hope you are doing well.

11 days agoWilliam you need to find a health team that is responsive to your needs! I had 8 months of keytruda in CT before my melanoma returned. My Md was not very responsive to my questions I fought with him about changing to a plant based dirt (he claimed it didn’t matter what you eat!). I asked if he would tell a diabetic or heart patient it doesn’t matter what you eat! He said his patients are different. If all they can eat is ice cream that’s ok! Ugh. Basically saying you are going to die anyway do it doesn’t matter!! I fought with him about the signaterra testing. When he finally agreed all his test kits were expired and never set it up next time! I moved up to a large cancer center at Dartmouth health in Lebanon NH! Best move ever Total different approach. New aggressive meds before surgery instead of after which is what they were going to do! My team is very responsive. They are in touch with me frequently. Checking in and monitoring all my tests and progress! Find a new team that will work for you!!!

11 days agoI'm prone to agree with Beverly. You have to fight for your own care. There should be some other option than "we're just delayed." Sorry, find someone or somewhere that can read the Dam test. My apologies, thoughts and prayers your way. 🙏🙄

8 days agoHi Beverly, finally got the results and seem concerning. I see the doc on Friday to go over them but it said there was a “faint” light up on my lung and colon plus the spot on my rib and T9 vertebrae still there. I had to message doc yesterday and complain and miraculously got the results about a hour later. I reached out to UPMC Hillman cancer institute today about getting a second opinion from them and possibly switching over but waiting for a call back. The Nurse practitioner kind of fluffed of the “faint” light up on my lung and colon as possible “inflammation” but I told her they were never there before and now they are and with my last Signatera test being so high I do not feel real comfortable with “inflammation” . Thank you for your support, means a lot. Hope you are hanging in there and doing well. This crap sucks, cancer sucks!!!

8 days agoHang in there William. I'm sitting in the lobby the Cancer center waiting to see my doctor. Maybe immunotherapy after. We'll see what he thinks. Had a little bit of size increase in the last CT scan. We'll see. Again, hang in there friend. 🙏😜🙏

7 days agoHey David, do you think you will be able to start immunotherapy again soon? Will be thinking about you and you hang in there as well. Thank you for the response

7 days agoHad my Opdualag this morning!! My oncologist is suggesting going to OU Health and see if I am a candidate for their CAR-T clinical trial if the opdualag continues to give me trouble. We'll see. Prayers up William!! 🙏🙏
