2 months agoHas anyone taken BRF/met inhibitors? My doctor has suggested taking this and switching from Opdivo to Opdualag and taking both the oral and immunotherapy together.

2 months agoTreatment combinations can feel overwhelming when exploring new options. Many patients in this community have experience with various BRAF/MEK inhibitors and immunotherapy combinations, and connecting with others who have walked similar paths can provide valuable insights alongside your medical team's guidance. Hoping community members will share their experiences to help you feel more informed as you consider this treatment approach.

a month agoI am Braf neg so inhibitors don’t work for me. I was on Opdivo first which my melanoma came back 8 mos after tx. It gave me a horrible rash. Then I went on Kaytruda and Yeryoy for 4 cycles and gave me Addison’s disease and autoimmune hepatitis. I moved from Las Vegas to my daughter in Spokane, WA. I had a virtual consultation with a melanoma specialist at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle. He suggested I try Opdaulag. The 20 lung lesions I had are gone. Right now I’m waiting for a brain MRI to see what the indeterminate findings in my brain are 🙏🍀.

a month agoI get my first treatment of Opdualag March 17. Did you have any side effects? I have been very fortunate with the Opdivo, other than itchy skin and minor rashes. I will be thinking and praying your MRI results come back good!! Thank you for your reply.

a month agoThat’s AWSOME Jill!!! So happy to hear the good news!!! I am in the middle of my second round of radiation. One more on Monday then doc wants to wait a couple months then do another Pet scan. I also have a brain MRI coming up, my last couple showed a small spot but my doctor thinks it is a meningioma which, from what he tells me and what I researched, seem to mostly be benign but still the fact that it is there is scary. He says it is a very small spot but doesn’t exactly take the worry away. I have my first Opdualag treatment coming up in the 17th, at least now that I have a port they will not struggle to find a vein. I am so happy to hear your results and thank you for your kindness and willingness to talk about this experience we are going through!!

22 days agoI have stage 4 Melanoma. I have been on Opdualog for 4 years. No real side effects and my last 2 PET scans were clear. I have my next scan next Monday. Wish me luck. I wish you all the best in your journey. Pray they come up with a cure in our lifetime.

10 days agoHi Alice thank you for the response. My Opdualag treatment has been paused due to last blood work. My liver counts shot through the roof for some reason so have to go today to recheck them and if still high will be on steroids for about a month which will delay treatment even longer so praying they are down. Hope all is going well with you and your treatment
