5 months agoHey Theresa, I'm relatively new here as well. I have had a positive experience here so far. I'm in immunotherapy with Keytruda. I just passed one year of the two years scheduled. I'm extremely fatigued due to the treatment but my last PET scan showed no evidence of active cancer cells. I just had another one on Friday and am anxiously awaiting the results. How about you, are you in treatment yet? I hope you have a good support system in place? I hope you get into a successful treatment program. It's a tough road but it can be worth it. Sending you positive energy and strength! Stay strong and fight like a warrior!

5 months agoHi Theresa, I'm new here too. They just took me off immunotherapy since the side effects affected pulminary fibrosis in my lungs. I wound up with lung infections after 2 treatments. I get a CT scan 21st of July. 🙏

5 months agoHey Shellie, I can totally relate to the struggle of quitting smoking. I started very young and smoked for approximately 20 years. I actually stopped twice, once for about a year, before being successful on my third attempt in 1986. I had cravings for approximately a year, especially when driving or after eating. Even now, sometimes when I walk by someone smoking on a cool morning, I have no idea why, the smell seems enticing but it quickly goes away. I used negative thoughts to help me. I purchased a carton and gave myself negative feedback every time I lit one up. For my first and last cigarette of the day, I stood in front of a mirror and told myself how wrong it was and all of the negativity associated with smoking. I didn't finish my final cigarette, got rid of it about halfway through. I haven't had a cigarette since! I know you have the strength to make it happen! Just keep fighting like you're fighting for your life, because you really are! I'm sending you strength and positive energy for your battles! Take good care.

2 months agoHello Tommy, I hear you loud and clear on the ups and downs. I'm on the same treatment regimen as you with Keytruda. I was diagnosed in November 2023 and my last treatment is scheduled for February. I'm stage 3b but I'm supposedly in remission for now. I'm getting a regular CT scan on the 13th of next month. I start getting anxious about two months or so after I've had a scan. The tumor dissolved two of my ribs completely from the spine over to where they start to make the turn towards the front of the body. I have a lot of pain and trying to get a longer solution than the nerve blocks provide. It can be pretty depressing sometimes but I keep reminding myself to stay positive because positivity is pretty dang good medicine! 👍 Stay strong and fight like a warrior 💪! Take good care, Garey
