Hi!! Any stage 3c members on here. I am ready for my 2nd round of chemo on Wednesday. So far, I really only had a couple of days that I didn’t feel great. But, have been feeling pretty good over all. Does the chemo accumulate with each round, or if you feel good with the first round, will you feel the same with the 2nd round?

Each person's experience with chemotherapy can vary, and while some people do notice cumulative effects as treatments progress, others maintain similar tolerance levels throughout their course. It's encouraging that you've been feeling relatively well after your first round, and many community members find it helpful to share their experiences with managing side effects and what to expect. Wishing you strength as you prepare for your second treatment on Wednesday.

Hi Kathy! I am stage 4. Had four treatments before surgery and two after surgery so I did get a bit of a break. Are you on Taxol/Carbo? I think it is a good sign you did well with the first one. I recall being extremely fatigued the entire time and was happy to have a break after four treatments. My cousin who is stage 3 uterine cancer had the same two drugs and extreme fatigue was her main side effect too. Mentally I think it gets easier for sure. I remember how terrified I was the first time not knowing what to expect. You got this!

Hi Sheri, yes I’m on Taxol/Carbo. I am a bit fatigued, especially at night. It was a bit scary at first. I’m staying pretty positive and trying to walk everyday. I even lifted some weights today. How are you doing now? Have you finished treatment?

I felt good for the most part the first three rounds of chemo except for my stomach.I had a break for surgery and started back up May 1 st with chemo. That one I had more bone and nerve pain then May 22nd was my next one and it was difficult pain and fatigue and with all the chemos I got terrible gut pain and some chemo brain. My last chemo is June 12. They do say chemo is cumulative so I expect the last one to be a little rough. I will be glad to get my hair back. I lost most of my hair the third week of the first round. I had a nice little head of bird hair coming in until the May first round and now I’m completely bald and no eyebrows or eyelashes. I found keeping a positive attitude and trying to stay active by walking whenever I was up to it to be a great help. You got this!!!!!

Surgery went well. Recovery took about a week to get my strength back. I just completed Chemo yesterday. Have appointment to decide on immunotherapy. Haven't decided yet what I will do.

I’m glad surgery went well. I will be having the same exact treatments. What will immunotherapy do for you?

Hi Michelle, I’m on my 2nd round and just like my first round, I’m having stomach pain on my 3rd day and probably 4th day, that’s what happened first round. Then everything got better, hopefully it goes that way again. Positive attitude is the only way you can go. I try to walk everyday as well. That’s important and try to eat healthy. 🙏🙏

I was pretty fatigued after all rounds but you can get thru it. Just rest as much as you can.

Bonnie, I have a constant drippy nose. I was told that you lose nose hairs during chemo and that has a lot to do with it. I take clartin everyday and that helps, so could be allergies too.

Yes the Chemo does accumulate. My last Chemo day , I had a reaction. Oxygen levels went down, my blood pressure went up. I was in good hands with the nurses , and that took me off the Chemo and said you are Done , it all worked out for the better ❤️Hang in there . God Bless You . You and I are going to beat this 💕🩷

I’m glad you are done. I hope and 🙏 you will be cancer free. I have One more chemo, then surgery and 2 chemo’s after that. My chemo is working my CA125 has gone down below 100. That was before my 3rd chemo, so I think I can get that down to normal. Yay

Hi Kathy, I was diagnosed with Stage 3C in October 2015. After surgery and chemo I was in remission for 5.5 years. 2nd round of chemo I was in remission for 2.5 years and 3rd round I was in remission for 5 months. I am currently going through round 4 and am in a clinical trial with a drug called Olvi-Vec. I have platinum based cells so my treatment has been the same all 4 times. The Olvi-Vec trial drug is supposed the reset my body to respond to chemo the way I did the very first time.
