I was diagnosed with High Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Stage 2b in November of 23. I’m starting Elahere on November 24th. Please share your experiences with this medication.

I took Elahere for 8 months. It cause cornea inflammation so my vision was a bit blurred, cleared up, same thing next round so I stopped august 2025. Now because I’d the Elahere I have a cataract in both eyes which is causing blurred vision and will see a cataract surgeon to remove them. Now they are finding out that in 15-25% of people taking Elahere will develop cataracts.

Thank you for your response. It’s always the good with the bad for these treatments. Did you get a good response for your cancer with the Elahere? What cancer treatment are you on now?

I had 4 rounds of Elahere and Avastin last winter. Didn’t affect my eyes but every other side effect found me. Made my neuropathy increase. That’s mostly why it was stopped. Last CT was not good so I’m waiting to see if I’m eligible for Proton therapy.

Update-my Ca125 started rising and my Pet Scan done 4/10 showed increase in size and new areas of cancer all still within my peritoneal cavity. The Elahere did not work for me. I started on a new regimen today of paclitaxel weekly, with Keytruda and Avastin also given every third infusion. Is anyone else on this combination?

My CA-125 has risen again to 570. I was hoping I could get Proton therapy but I had too many hot spots. Next week I start daily Cytoxan orally and every 3 weeks Keytruda and Avastin. I’m aware and expect a 48 hour headache and really high BP with Avastin. The Keytruda is new to me. I hope I look and feel as good as the TV commercials suggest of course you need to watch it on mute to avoid hearing the possible multitude of side effects. My oncologist said I have 2 options - this regimen or I could choose nothing. Also said I had already statistically outlived most - first diagnosed October 2023. I guess that’s good news because for the last year I’ve received integrative medical care using multiple supplements and IV mistletoe as recommended by believebig.org
