3 months agoI had HIFU treatment for prostate cancer. I had a hemigland removal of the left side. It started to recurr one year later on the left treated side. The right side is clear. I need to have salvage treatment soon.
Accepted Answer
Salvage treatment options after HIFU recurrence can include radiation therapy, surgery, or additional focal treatments, depending on your specific situation and overall health. It's encouraging that the right side remains clear, which may provide your medical team with more targeted treatment approaches. Consider discussing all available options with your oncologist and getting a second opinion if helpful - many community members find it valuable to explore different perspectives when facing salvage treatment decisions.
