Im 49 years old and in September 2024 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer with mets to lower pelvis, left lilac and L5 vertebrea for a total of 4 tumors on bones. I started treatment at MSK on Oct 18 2024. Now, a year later, my psa is .05 , down from 83 at its highest. My treatment consists of Lupron injections every 3months and 4 Xtandi pills daily.I also did a round of Sbrt therapy . I feel truly blessed to be responding to the treatment the way I have, but the last few months the fatigue has me to the point I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. Im unsure if its the fatigue or depression from the constant wondering when the treatment will stop working. I'd love to hear from others who may be experiencing similar situations, and how your dealing with it will

Fatigue and mood changes are common challenges that many patients face during hormone therapy treatment, and connecting with others who understand this experience can provide valuable support and coping strategies. The physical and emotional toll of treatment can feel overwhelming at times, especially when balancing the relief of positive treatment response with concerns about the future. Consider sharing your experiences and hearing from other community members who may have found helpful ways to manage these side effects through lifestyle adjustments, support systems, or conversations with their medical teams about symptom management options.

Sean, hang in there, PSA at .05 is a great sign. I've found that walking is the best answer to the fatigue you are feeling. I know, it doesn't make sense. But it's been working for me. I'm on Lupron, and I was on something similar to Xtandi. I was falling a lot, so they took me off of it. I have much less fatigue and balance problems with Lupron alone. I'm not sure if that's an option for you. I do around 7000 steps a day, and it has helped a lot.

I felt the same way after 1 11/2 years on Lupron and Aberiterone. My PSA dropped steadily now at .01. I went on Wellbutrin and that completely changed my fatigue and ability to do more things. Have you asked your medical team about trying an anti depressant? It may help.

I got on an anti depressant which gave me more energy. I have been on ADT For 1 1/2 years. Quarterly Lupron shot and for 250 mg Aberiterone pills daily. PSA down from 27 to 0.01. I was absolutely exhausted prior to taking Wellbutrin.

I switched my Xtandi from taking in the morning to at night and it made a big difference. If you have not tried that it is worth a shot.
