a month agoHi I'm a 69 year old male diagnosed in March, PSA of 7.7, my biopsy showed 4 lesions Gleason 8 & 7. I had no symptoms or prostate issues other than a sudden spike in my PSA which we had been monitoring for 15 years. I completed 38 proton beam radiation reatments in the month of July and August, I had a brachytherapy implant (radio active seed) completed a week and a half ago. Now I have a 3-month break I'll be going back to Sarasota Florida to the Dattoli Cancer Center from North Carolina to have a checkup done, CT scans and 10 more days of proton beam radiation treatments (20 minutes each at 1 per day) and then hopefully I'll be done. I've had zero side effects from this whole process, I've not even had any fatigue from the treatments. I'm very fortunate in that my cancer had not spread outside of the prostate area, I had extensive PSMA CT Pet scans done and was diagnosed to be cancer-free in the rest of my body. I praise the Lord and Dr Michael Dattoli and his staff in Sarasota Florida, they are absolutely the best on the planet! People travel from points all over the country and the world to Dr Dattoli for prostate cancer treatment. I can't say enough good things about the care that I received from the center and it's staff.
