6 hours agoI have stage IVB prostate cancer and am currently on a combination treatment that includes Lupron Depot (leuprolide) plus Nubeqa (darolutamide) for hormone therapy, along with Docetaxel chemotherapy and Xgeva (denosumab) for bone protection. My care team explained this is a comprehensive approach that works in different ways - the hormone therapy blocks testosterone, the chemo attacks cancer cells directly, and the bone medication helps protect against cancer-related bone damage. I'm experiencing some side effects like fatigue, hot flashes, nausea, and my team mentioned increased infection risk is something to watch for. I'd love to connect with others who have been on similar treatment combinations. • What has your day-to-day experience been like with this type of combination therapy? • What practical tips helped you manage the side effects or stay comfortable during treatment?

an hour agoManaging multiple treatments at once can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support shows real strength during this challenging time. The combination approach your care team has chosen targets cancer from several angles, which is encouraging, though the side effects can certainly impact daily life. Many community members have found success with practical strategies like staying hydrated for nausea, using cooling products for hot flashes, pacing activities to work with fatigue levels, and maintaining good hygiene practices to reduce infection risk. Connecting with others who understand this journey firsthand can provide invaluable insights and emotional support as you navigate treatment.
