Hi Judith I was just diagnosed on Monday as well. Monday, August 3 that is I have two different types of cancer in my bladder and I can’t spell either one of them lol but hopefully you and I can go in this journey together.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 urothelial carcinoma cancer in October, 2018. Muscle invasive, high grade and in my lymph nodes. I had 7 rounds of chemo which was a very aggressive plan. Not effective. After that Keytruda for almost 2 years. Then Opdivo which like Keytruda is an immunotherapy. They worked for a while. Then had a radical cystectomy. I have a stoma and an outside bag. The surgery and dealing with the bag is not bad. Last treatment ending March, 2025 was Enfortumab. For 6 months. Didn’t like the side effects but it was effective. This drug used in junction with Keytruda is the currently common treatment. I just wanted to share my history to say don’t give up the fight. What was once a short term survival diagnosis has become nearly 7 years of many good days.
