24 days agoHaving a mastectomy can feel overwhelming, but knowing what to expect can help ease some anxiety. The surgical team will walk you through the procedure details, recovery timeline, and what support you'll need at home during your pre-op appointment. Many people in this community have shared their experiences with single mastectomy recovery, so feel free to ask specific questions about pain management, healing, or daily activities - there's a wealth of knowledge and encouragement here from others who understand this journey.

19 days agoYour Health insurance should cover it depending on your diagnosis of your other side. Most cancer supply stores that carry wigs breast prosthetics ect get donations. You can call the American Cancer Society to get a list of resources in your area even 211 should have some. Good luck 🍀 ohh and I would invest in a Breast Pillow as soon as possible it was such a blessing for me when I had my surgery. It definitely helps with the pain and it’s very handy with the pockets for ice packs & anything else you need to keeps close.
