It's completely natural to feel nervous and scared before such a significant surgery. Many people in this community have walked similar paths and understand those feelings of uncertainty that come with a new diagnosis and upcoming procedures. Consider reaching out to others here who may have experienced similar treatments - their insights and support can be incredibly valuable during this time.

7 months agoRosalind L. Do you have family, friends, other support? It helps to share. I'm hoping you have someone around you can visit with and just talk. I ended up getting a counselor, also have contact with a chaplain through the hospital. Joining a church ( mine is small and amazing) has helped me. The beginning is the worst. It did get better. My sister had the double mastectomy with the deip flap and she did really, really good afterwards. 6 years out for her now. Keep us posted on how you are doing if you are up to it. Prayers here for you.
