Has anyone experienced invasive lobular carcinoma?

I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma stage one grade 2 on October 1 and will have surgery on November 15. I am terrified. I did not feel any lumps but found out through my annual mammogram. Does anyone have this type of cancer? It seems that most people have the ductile carcinoma.

Many people in this community have shared experiences with invasive lobular carcinoma, and while it's less common than invasive ductal carcinoma, you're definitely not alone in facing this diagnosis. It's completely understandable to feel scared before surgery, and connecting with others who have walked a similar path can provide comfort and valuable insights during this challenging time.

Wow, I have almost the same story! I was diagnosed on 10-1-24 as well with invasive lobular grade 1. Also found on annual mammogram! I barely had my 1st apt with oncologist and radiation doctors today. They say surgery to be scheduled to remove tumor then radiation for a month.. Wishing you peace and comfort during this journey. We got this!

I was diagnosed in Aug with invasive ductal and lobular, grade 1. Had lumpectomy shortly after and will start on hormone therapy soon. I'm not sure I'm making the right decision to forgo radiation but its so far for me to travel at my age.

I am having my surgery for the lobular cancer on November 15. I would like to talk to you after that. When is your surgery?

I had stage 1 grade 2 also. I opted for mastectomy to avoid radiation. I was on herseptin for a year. I was diagnosed in 23. Doing very well now at 76 years old 😊 thank God!

I just had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy removed with invasive Lobular carcinoma last Thursday. I'm going for follow-up tomorrow. I am hoping she will have my pathology report. We don't have lumps because it grows in a line from what I understand. My area was 10mm, grade 1, all hormone driven. I'm not sure of the stage yet. Also caught on my annual mamogram

I was just diagnosed with invasive ductal and lobular carcinoma grade 2 on December 7th. Not sure what I am in for but I am a nurse so pretty sure it will be a lot. Praying for everyone here.

I was just diagnosed with the same thing. Invasive Lobular carcinoma, Grade II, Stage IA. I have dense breasts and found the lump myself. It didn't show on the mammogram. I have my MRI Friday and will set the surgery date from there.

I was diagnosed with DCIS. Ductile Carcinmona with lobular involvement. Stage 2. I am only 34 years old. With a family history of breast cancer. I am a nervous wreck. But I am staying positive. Not sure what to expect.
