Pain from breast cancer can be managed through several approaches, and it's important to work closely with your healthcare team to find the right combination of treatments that work for you. Many patients find relief through medication, physical therapy, relaxation techniques, or other supportive care options that their doctors can recommend based on their specific situation.

I just had my mastectomy on Thursday and my pain has been very manageable. I have used a combination of Tylenol, advil, gabapentin and tramadol.

Hi, I’m new here. I was diagnosed with DCIS STAGE 1, January 30,2025. Due to plastic surgeon and breast surgeon scheduling my surgery was done March 03. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction, I can’t even explain in words the pain I was experiencing. I was on same medications, they didn’t help me, the only relief I had was my husband purchased CBD oil oral drops. They instantly helped, helped with pain, appetite and sleep. My doctors were ok with it. Now I’m nervous to start chemo , my mother was on chemo I witnessed first hand how her body was affected by it and I’m scared .

I have my mastectomy scheduled for Monday, and am freaking out so anxious about everything. I am worried about managing the pain after, as my surgeon told me for pain after to take OTC Tylenol/Ibuprofen. She said if my pain gets worse a few days after then she will prescribe me something for the pain. I don’t know anything about CBD/medical marijuana products, aside from people in my cancer support group swear by it to relieve their pain.

My pain after DMX to expanders was so much easier than I expected. I had my surgery 10/30/24 and was handing out Halloween candy the next day. I did take Percocet every 8 hrs on schedule for the first day and a half but then switched to tylenol. I was so surprised.
