The waiting period before getting imaging results can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with so much uncertainty. Many people in this community understand how difficult it is to manage anxiety during these delays in the healthcare system. Consider reaching out to your care team to ask if there are any cancellation lists that might get you in sooner, and remember that connecting with others here who have walked similar paths can provide valuable emotional support during this challenging time.

The hardest part is not knowing. Ask your doctor for a biopsy.

Hi, I was diagnosed end of Nov with biopsy, have had two MRI, a Pet scan, a lumpectomy with nodes, mastectomy with nodes last week. It takes time for them to be sure it is only isolated area. Tests usually take couple of weeks. They need to know this info to plan your treatment. Some need surgery, chem, radiation, immune therapy, hormone blockers. All or may a couple treatment. You got this!

Hi. I found out in mid December. I met 3 specialists before I made my decision. I've had blood work and an MRI. Then I had an MRI guided biopsy for an area of suspicion in the "healthy" breast. Pathology came back with atypical ductal hyperplasia and that needs to be removed also. Next week new appointment to discuss a new plan. It is a slow process. Have you at least had an appointment with the breast surgeon to talk about intial diagnosis? When I met with the doctors and discussed initial diagnosis it made me less scared.
