a year agoI'm brand new here. Just diagnosed wednesday with invasive ductal cancer. I have no other info. I meet with the surgeon monday and then my 1st appointment with the oncologist Thursday. I feel tired, probably from mental overwhelm more than anything. Really grateful for a private community to talk to without everyone I know seeing everything.

Welcome to this supportive community where you can share openly and connect with others who understand this journey. The days between diagnosis and getting more information from your medical team can feel overwhelming, and it makes complete sense that you're feeling mentally exhausted right now. This space offers a valuable opportunity to process your thoughts and feelings with people who truly get what you're going through, and many find comfort in being able to speak candidly without worrying about friends and family seeing every detail.

6 months agoI too was diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer. I met with a wonderful surgeon. I’m lucky mine is slow growing and stage 1. I am having a lumpectomy the 20th. Really scared but really trust my surgeon. I hope you get news as well. My surgeon said this type of cancer has a high cure rate

6 months agoHi just diagnosed with idc, as well, but stage 3. I’m not having a great experience this far so I’ve scheduled with another hospital that is one of the best. The lack of communication and being told two different diagnoses has stressed me terribly. I meet with a surgeon on Monday and have an MRI on Tuesday. I feel completely exhausted. Anyone else?

6 months agoI was just diagnosed with invasive poorly differentiated ductal type adenocarcinoma, grade 3. What does that even mean?? Is that cancer outside of the duct? I will see a surgeon Wed. What should I expect?

6 months agoI believe idc grade 3 is more invasive and faster growing. I try not to assume things b4 seeing the surgeon, although it's hard and not knowing answers drives me crazy! Wishing you the best, Kim!!

6 months agoI was diagnosed with Stage 3 with 2 positive lymph nodes. Had surgery first which was a mastectomy. Radiation once I am healed and then chemo. Have had breast cancer twice before. 2013 and this time is a return from 2019. Both times I had a lymectomy. Always TNBC. I had my surgery first due to chemo being so hard on me they are figuring out which chemo to use.
