a year agoI went in for more imaging on September 10, they found 2 masses. Went for needle biopsy on 9/11 had some complications but they did get samples from one. 9-13 my pathology report came back positive for ductal carcinoma and another kind. Have a consultation with surgeon on the 19th of November. What should I do or know?

Preparing for a consultation can feel overwhelming, especially with so much happening in a short timeframe. Consider writing down questions about treatment options, what to expect during surgery, recovery timeline, and any concerns about next steps. Many people find it helpful to bring a trusted person for support and to help remember important information discussed during the appointment. The surgical team will walk through everything with you and help create a clear plan moving forward.

5 months agoAngel D good morning. Now your oncologist will sit you down and talk to you about the two different types of removal. I had mastectomy which remove the entire thing and had a reconstruction after.

5 months agoThey will most likely draw blood to do genetic testing. Helpful tip: Buy yourself a comfort pillow on Amazon. That was a game charger I wish they told me before surgery. They have pockets to insert ice packs and comforts your surgical sites from your arms, especially if you'll be removing any lymph nodes. Hope this helps.
