6 months agoI hope you are feeling alright after you lumpectomy. I had mine last September, it was painful the first few days, but I rested a lot and I healed fine. Good luck with treatment! Thinking of you!

6 months agoWishing you well. I had a lumpectomy in July of 2022. I would suggest wearing a compression bra. I wore sports bras but ended up with a seroma that took almost two years to go away.

6 months ago@Sheila C. I think I goofed on what it means to flag a post. I don't see how to undo it. I wanted to bookmark because I have a huge boobache!!! It's been 3 weeks and 4th day from just tumor and 2 nodes removed, but it's on the outer side. BOOB ACHE! UGH. I don't know what a compression bra is but I want one that closes in the front.

6 months agoThe compression bra helped me tremendously. The hospital gave me mine. But maybe check Amazon and for front closure. I still wear mine 3 and half weeks out of surgery. My boob aches at some point everyday. Still. But definitely less achy with the compression bra. I see myself wearing it for some time with upcoming radiation treatments. I hope you can find one to purchase. Or maybe ask your care team. 💞

6 months agoThere are specialty shops that sell compression bras. In a pinch you can use a sports bra that does up in the front. It gives some extra support. I bought my sports bras at Walmart.

6 months agoHi, I was diagnosed after a biopsy May 13th, lumpectomy yesterday. Should receive further pathology reports next week. I'm surprised I'm not in much pain at all. I think the hardest part right now is this tight ace bandage wrapped around my breast. I'm sure once it comes off tomorrow night, I'll def feel it, since my girls are big!. Surgeon told me I'll be wearing a sports bra or surgery bra for quite some time until healed, that way internal stitches stay intact until dissolved and to prevent scar from dimples. Hang in there everyone. We got this.
