I am curious if anyone out there was diagnosed with her2+ Er+ pr- cancer with tumor size under 5mm and was not or is not being treated with Herceptin and chemotherapy. I'm concerned that my doctor is only treating with hormone blocker- no chemotherapy and no herceptin

Treatment decisions for small HER2+ breast cancers can vary significantly based on many individual factors that oncologists consider when creating personalized treatment plans. Many others in this community have navigated similar questions about their treatment approach, and it's completely understandable to want to connect with others who have had comparable diagnoses and treatment experiences.

In 2021, I had her2+, er+, pr-, 3mm tumor. Had lumpectomy, radiation, anastrazole. Drs said tumor was too small, no need for additional treatment (unless I got a mastectomy). Fast forward 1-1\2 yrs, another 3mm tumor, same breast, her2-, er+, pr-. Resistant to anti-estrogen therapy. Just had mastectomy and will be doing chemo. Always felt "off" with no additional treatment 1st time. Drs focused on tumor size and her2, other characteristics weren't part of protocol. I'll always wonder about that. Also, I think oncotype is for her2- only.
