27 yrs ago I had a lumpectomy/radiation/chemotherapy. I found out today that I have DCIS in the same breast. Next week I will see my surgeon and discuss options. Right now I am feeling numb

Facing a DCIS diagnosis after so many years can feel overwhelming, and feeling numb right now is completely understandable. Many people in this community have walked through similar experiences and found ways to cope, including connecting with others who understand what this journey feels like. Meeting with your surgeon next week will help clarify your path forward, and remember that treatments and outcomes have improved significantly since your first diagnosis.

I'm very sorry that you are feeling this way and it's understandable. I just got diagnosed with DCIS in Situ in the 6th of this month and I'm feeling hopeful overall but I have definitely been overwhelmed at certain times not knowing what to expect! I can't imagine going through this twice! I'm praying for the best outcome for you, feel free to reach out to me anytime!
