Does anyone worry about having another biopsy can cause cancer to spread or open up the tumor ? I had the one for the mass in my breast. The MRI shows a mass in lymph nodes they want to do a biopsy there. I don't want to do another one. Not sure what to do or is it necessary. I want to just get the surgery.

This concern about biopsies is completely understandable and shared by many people facing similar decisions. Medical research shows that properly performed biopsies, including lymph node biopsies, are designed with safety measures to minimize any risks, and they provide crucial information that helps doctors plan the most effective treatment approach. The additional information from a lymph node biopsy often helps surgical teams make more precise decisions about the extent of surgery needed and whether additional treatments might be beneficial. It's worth discussing these concerns directly with the medical team, as they can explain the specific benefits in this situation and address any worries about the procedure.
