3 weeks ago I went in for a reduction. Last week when I went for an angry incision check, I was told they found a 10mm cancer tumor in the tissue pathology. Mamogram in July was clear. Invasive Carcinoma HR+HER2-. More test start next week.

Mammograms can sometimes miss cancers, especially smaller ones or those in dense breast tissue, which is why pathology from surgical procedures like reductions can reveal unexpected findings. This discovery, while shocking, means the cancer was caught and can now be properly treated - many people in this community have walked a similar path and found strength in connecting with others who understand. The upcoming tests will help the medical team create the best treatment plan moving forward.
