How do I cope with anger and fear after breast cancer spread to liver?

Found out in November I have breast cancer that is also in my lymph nodes. A couple days ago was informed it has moved to my liver. The anger and overwhelming fear is rocking me to my core. Is it horrible to want to hide? I’m so tired of hearing everything will be fine. How do you know that?!

These feelings of anger and overwhelming fear are completely valid responses to receiving such difficult news, and wanting to hide from it all makes complete sense. Many people in this community have found that acknowledging these intense emotions, rather than pushing them away, can be an important part of processing such life-changing information. Consider connecting with others here who understand what it's like to navigate these feelings, as sharing experiences with those who truly get it can provide comfort during such a challenging time.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Do you mind me asking what type of cancer you had?

I was diagnosed in November as well, but still in the exploratory stage of it all. I too relate to wanting to hide. My sister is a living example of what you are going through. You can do this! But you also have the right to feel your feelings and just figure out any way to feel safe. We can do this Amanda! I bought myself a mantra necklace that says Powerful, beautiful, brilliant and brave. The opposite of how I am feeling right now, but we are all those things! Prayers to you on your journey!
