Hello ladies, this is my 1st time on here. I recently had a tumor removed from my breast and was told I'm very high risk for breast cancer. I've never dealt with anything like this and am very confused. They want me to take meds but I'm not sure on that.... can anyone please give me advice? Id truly appreciate it

Welcome to this supportive community where many others have faced similar decisions about high-risk situations and treatment options. Consider discussing your concerns about the medications with your healthcare team, as they can explain the benefits and potential side effects specific to your situation, and connecting with others here who may have navigated similar choices can provide valuable perspective and emotional support.

Hi Tiffany. I don’t know enough to give you any advice. But I can tell you that you’re not alone in confusion and not knowing what to do. I also had a lumpectomy with chemo, radiation and hormone therapy coming up. I’m feeling my way thru too and just trusting that it will work out. I wish you peace of mind, answers and a great outcome.

Tiffany- they should have tested the tumor- pathology- to determine if cancerous and what type? It is confusing, stressful, and hard- hang in there- you are your best advocate!
