6 months agoYes, stage 3 TNBC on right side on 12/15/23. Finished 9/12 of my first round of weekly chemo and immunotherapy and start my 2nd round in March -- but every 3 weeks then, with a surgery consult on 3/26. Such an emotional rollercoaster but I take it moment by moment. My body is responding to the chemo per my doctor and I'm optimistic that I'll be ok. Hoping all is well with you and sending encouraging thoughts your way!

6 months agoThank you for sharing your journey. My other problem is I can’t stay off the internet and it’s so scary. How are you feeling after starting chemo? Praying for you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

6 months agoI feel pretty good. My side effects are mild for the most part. Staying off the Internet is essential for my sanity. Chats like this are more helpful. Staying hydrated and getting rest help the most. Chemo isn't as bad as I thought it would be, at least not in my case. I rely on my family and medical support team a lot and journal my thoughts. Navigating all the change is the most challenging.

6 months agoI’m happy to hear that your symptoms are mild. It’s comforting to talk to you and share our experiences. I have really isolated myself, just emotionally not ready to see anyone. You are great to chat with

6 months agoI’m a stage 3 TNBC. I just finished week 3 of chemo. Keytruda, Taxol and Carboplatin. The chemo has not bothered me at all. No nausea, neuropathy, or fatigue. I still have all my hair. I will do 9 more weeks of this regimen and then another 12 weeks of doxirubicin and cytoxan. I have heard that combo is much tougher. Stay off the internet where everyone tells you about all the horrible things that they have gone through. It will just send you into a black hole. Stay positive, put one foot in front of the other and you will get to the finish line. We are not defined by the statistics!

6 months agoMarilyn, a lot of my anxiety went away once I started treatment. The waiting, numerous tests and not having a plan was stressful. Just knowing that each day I am one day closer to moving on has had a calming effect.

6 months agoI too have been diagnosed with TNBC stage 2B. I am also being treated with Keytruda, Carboplatin and Taxol. I am at week 7 of treatment. I haven't had any nausea yet. Mainly bloody nose, hot flashes, some acid reflux. I do have slight neuropathy in my fingertips and toes, but it comes and goes. My care team is keeping an eye on that but are not too concerned as long as it doesn't get worse. On week 3 of each cycle I have had to take Zarxio injections to help my body produce more white blood cells because it falls too low for me to get treatment if I don't. I started losing my hair about 12 days into treatment, then lost 90% of what was left on day 16. A friend offered to buy me a wig. I discovered it is not a good idea to wear it to my infusions because it makes me too hot and makes me appear to have a fever. When I took it off and cooled down for a few minutes and they retook my temperature it was normal. So far that has been my experience.
