3 months agoWhat sysmptoms you had and what are the result in diagnostic mammogram so that you did biopsy ?? Wanted to know biopsy can spread cancer if it turn out to-be malignant ?? Or it possible to remove lump First and then biopsy ?? Or biopsy first then remove lump ??

These are really important questions that many people have when facing a breast biopsy. Symptoms that lead to biopsies can vary widely - some people notice lumps, changes in breast texture, or unusual mammogram results, while others may have no symptoms at all and abnormalities are found during routine screening. Research shows that needle biopsies do not spread cancer, and they're actually essential for determining the best treatment plan before any surgery occurs. Most medical teams will do the biopsy first to understand exactly what they're dealing with, then create a personalized treatment approach based on those results. It's completely natural to have these concerns, and discussing them with your medical team will help you feel more confident about the process ahead.

3 months agoI have not heard tgat a biopsy can spread cancer. I think you should ask your doctor the other questions. I had the biopsy first, then lumpectomy

3 months agoHi, Rinku, a diagnostic mammogram would help determine whether a biopsy would be needed for further assessment of what they found questionable from the mammogram. You would need the biopsy first to determine whether the lump is benign or malignant. I have not heard that a biopsy can spread the cancer either.

2 months agoThey see something suspicious and they don’t wanna take the chance of it just being maybe a calcification!! I had biopsies done on left and right breast. It’s a little scary. I’m not gonna lie because I’m worried about the results. Come to find out. It was cancer three different types of cancer in my right breast the left breast had a couple of masses. They tested those and they came back negative, but I decided I was going with the double mastectomy and I’m glad I did.

2 months agoI read an article on whether or not breast cancer can spread through biopsy. I was concerned also. The article from an oncologist said no. Cancer from a biopsy cannot spread the cancer. Rest your mind you deserve it. Hope this helps.
