a year agoAnyone had a problem with a port for chemo
Accepted Answer
Port-related complications can happen, and it's completely understandable to have concerns about this important part of treatment. Many community members have shared their experiences with ports, both positive and challenging, so reaching out here is a great way to learn from others who truly understand what this journey is like.

7 months agoUnfortunately I did have a problem. The Dr put it in between my collarbone and rib , thr friction cut the tube from the port and the tube fell into my lung . The Dr that found this said it us extremely rare and he had only read about it in med school. Thank God the new Dr got it out with no problems and put in a new port the right way and I've had no other problems. My advice to anyone is to make sure you know how the Dr is placing your port.
