4 months agoI was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma two weeks ago. I am ER+ but weak (20), PR-, HER2-. The tumor is 4x5x6 mm. I am waiting for surgical consult and the wait is maddening. I am in Boston and have access to either Beth Israel Leahy or Dana Farber. Does anyone have experience with one or both? Advantages or disadvantages? Thanks.

4 months agoBoth Dana-Farber and Beth Israel Deaconess are highly respected cancer centers in Boston, and many community members have shared positive experiences with both institutions. The waiting period before your surgical consultation can feel overwhelming, but connecting with others here who have navigated similar paths at these centers might help provide the insights you're looking for during this challenging time.

3 months agoVery similar diagnosis.. Per previous biopsy (S25-15587), the tumor cells are ER positive (3+ and greater than 95%), PR negative (0 and 0%), and HER2 negative by IHC (score 1+); a Ki-67 proliferation index is low at ~2%.. I am learning all of this. I had a lumpectomy Dec 19. One lymph node was tested and positive but had not left that lymph node. I had no lumps but very dense breasts. It was found on a routine3D mammogram. Very small cancer. Any advise/tips would be helpful.
