It's completely natural to feel scared before such a major surgery, especially when facing something new and overwhelming. Many others in this community have walked a similar path and found strength they didn't know they had, and there's valuable support and encouragement waiting here from people who truly understand what you're going through. Consider sharing any specific concerns or questions you have - the community often has helpful insights about preparing for surgery and what to expect during recovery.

I had a bilateral mastectomy on April 8 and am recovering nicely. The lymph nodes were clear and no radiation or chemo required. After I have a bone density test the oncologist can decide which anti estrogen pill will be best for me to take. I will have to take this pill for 5 years.

Sharon I will be praying for you. I hope you have all the love and support you need to help you through this journey. It's a tough one that's for sure. It is encouraging to read on here how so many women support each other during our tough times.
