Hi new here I was just diagnosed with breast cancer, on 2/10/26. They say it aggressive kind of cancer but things seems to be moving slow about getting me started on chemo. I pray an hope everyone is having a better experience then I am.

Getting started with cancer treatment can feel overwhelming, especially when the process seems slower than expected. Treatment timelines can vary based on many factors including staging, additional testing needs, and care team coordination, but it's completely understandable to feel anxious when waiting to begin. Many others in this community have shared similar concerns about timing, and connecting with fellow patients here can provide valuable support during this challenging period.

I think the healthcare system in the US is fragmented. I had a bad experience getting referred to a breast center that couldn’t see me for 3 months. We have to take the bull by its horns. Keep calling the oncologist or whoever is recommending chemo and get them to pin down a start date.

I completely agree that waiting for treatment when you've been told it's aggressive can feel so scary - you might also want to ask your care team about the specific timeline they're working toward so you have a clearer picture of what to expect. I was very fortunate to start chemo about 3 weeks post diagnosis. My health care team made it happen!
