10 months agoJust diagnosed with DCIS and IDC/ILC in same breast. Waiting to see surgeon. Had Hodgkin lymphoma 16 years ago and radiation to my chest. Anyone else with history of HL? Does this affect my options?
Accepted Answer
A history of radiation therapy to the chest area can indeed influence treatment planning for breast cancer, as oncologists carefully consider previous radiation exposure when developing new treatment plans. Many people in this community have navigated similar situations with multiple diagnoses, and connecting with others who have experience with both conditions could provide valuable insights as you prepare for your surgical consultation.

7 months agoI had non Hodgkin’s lymphoma about 20 years ago and had chemotherapy and radiation. I’m now diagnosed with bc. My doctors say it’s not advisable to do radiation because of the previous radiation when I had lymphoma.
