10 months agoJust diagnosed with metastatic cancer on my left breast spread to my lymph nodes. I am 46 years old. Very surprised and scared. I would like to know how long chemotherapy will take ? , then I get surgery then I get radiation .

Treatment timelines can vary significantly from person to person based on many individual factors that only your medical team can fully evaluate. The feelings of surprise and fear after a metastatic diagnosis are completely understandable, and connecting with others in this community who have walked similar paths can provide valuable support and insights about their experiences with treatment schedules.

6 months agoAsk for oncotype dx test to see if you are even going to respond to chemo. Doctor will use previous biopsy specimen. Below26 score means you will not benefit from chemo. I took pill instead

6 months agoFor me I’m waiting on the oncotype test to come back. That helps determine treat ment suggestions. Cheryl since I’m still waiting for the test results, I should know this week. You are taking chemo in pill form? If so how is it going? I’ve been told basically it’ll be chemo, then radiation, then hormone therapy or radiation then hormone stuff. Waiting game, but wondering how the chemo is going ?

6 months agoIs the Onco type test the same thing as the Mammaprint? That test wasn’t mentioned when I had my biopsy.
