Getting organized with questions before meeting with your surgeon is a smart approach that can help you feel more prepared and in control during this overwhelming time. Consider asking about the stage and extent of your cancer, treatment options available to you, what to expect during and after surgery, potential side effects, recovery timeline, and follow-up care plans. Many people find it helpful to bring a trusted friend or family member to take notes, and don't hesitate to ask your surgeon to explain anything in simpler terms if needed.

Will you need a colostomy? Hernia possibility? Robotic? Will you need to cut me open? Recovery period. How long will the surgery be? Questions will come when chatting. Ask questions about his skills. How long practicing?

Doug yours sounds just like mine. What have they done so far? I have surgery on the 13 th. They are pretty sure I have lymph node involvement but CT shows all other organs clear.
