Just diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. I have to get mri of my brain and then have an appointment with radiation therapy to see if that is possible for treatment. I am so scared. I don’t know if it’s possible to go into remission at this stage.

Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer can be challenging, but treatment advances have helped many people live longer and maintain quality of life, with some experiencing significant responses to therapy. Each person's situation is unique, so discussing your specific case and treatment options with your oncology team will give you the clearest picture of what's possible for your particular circumstances.

Marie, read some of the posting made by Ramesh under non small cell lung cancer. He is a practicing physician, 9 years post stage 4 lung cancer. I have stage 3B and understand the fear you are experiencing. Some of the first posts I read were from Ramesh and they gave me hope. We are all here to support each other. Stay strong. Feels all of your emotions. They are all normal. Cry, scream, curse, laugh. It's okay. Sending hugs your way.
