You have one of the best survival rates 88% for 5 year survival. I have CMML, with one of the worst survival rates

Hello fellow Cancer patients. Following a biopsy then surgery to remove lymph nodes in my neck I was diagnosed with CLL and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of 2025. It started in my blood (CLL) and settled in my lymphatic system (lymphoma) The disease spread to more lymph nodes all over my body after some time so I started oral chemotherapy called Calquence. It has been rough but my body is slowly adjusting to it. I’m tired and have weakness most days. It’s scary but I always say there is someone else out there with it way worse than me. I am grateful for every day. My faith in God gets me through this very frightening time in my life. My team is amazing at MD Andersen and for that, I am blessed. When I heard the words, “there is no remission and there is no being cancer free with the disease you have and you will be on chemotherapy the rest of your life. The goal now is to contain it” this news has hit me very hard. I am a fighter and I won’t give up but the fact that there’s no remission really makes me angry. I’m fighting depression and pray for courage and strength for us all every day. God bless.

I have a diagnosis of CMML2 & was told the same thing chemo for the rest of your like or stem cell therapy ( which they gave me a 60-70% chance of not making it) I cried myself to sleep for 6 months. But my faith in God has made me grateful for the chemo which is keeping me alive. Keep the faith & who knows what AI will come up with to put us in remission. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼for you
