3 months agoI have hepatocellular carcinoma and my doctor prescribed oxycodone to help manage pain related to my cancer. They explained it's a strong pain medication for when other pain relievers aren't working well enough. I'm aware of side effects like drowsiness, constipation, and breathing issues, and that it needs to be taken exactly as prescribed since it can be habit-forming. I'd love to connect with others who have dealt with similar pain management needs and hear about your experiences. • What helped you manage side effects while taking strong pain medications? • Do you have any tips for day-to-day comfort that worked alongside your prescribed treatment?

3 months agoManaging pain medication side effects can be challenging, and it's wonderful that you're being proactive about understanding your treatment while following your doctor's guidance. Many community members have found success with strategies like staying ahead of constipation with increased water intake and fiber, maintaining a consistent medication schedule, and keeping open communication with their healthcare team about any concerns that arise. Connecting with others who understand this journey can provide valuable practical tips and emotional support during treatment.

a month agoI’ll look up about the Y-90 Treatment. I don’t think my husband has had that or maybe the oncologist didn’t specifically name the treatment. He just calls it Chemotherapy. He’s had three different kinds of chemo. They don’t seem to be working. My husband has now 6 lesions the largest one is 5.4 all the other are smaller, , but seem to be growing. They haven’t found a treatment to help stop the growth.
