2 years agoFor those of you with bone Mets did you have to go to the dentist to get a clean bill of health from them to start bone treatment?
Accepted Answer
Dental clearance before starting bone treatments is actually a common and important step that many healthcare teams recommend. This precaution helps prevent potential complications, particularly with certain bone-strengthening medications that can affect healing in the mouth and jaw area. Each treatment plan is different, so discussing this timing with both the oncology team and dentist can help ensure the safest approach. Other community members who have navigated bone treatments may have valuable experiences to share about this process.
