Cancer can respond differently to treatments in various parts of the body, which is why oncologists sometimes use a combination approach like adding radiation to target specific areas while continuing systemic treatments. This is actually a common strategy that many in this community have experienced, and your medical team is likely being proactive in addressing that particular spot while your overall treatment continues to work on other areas.
