4 months agoChemo and spicy foods is not good? I had something spicy earlier and I feel like something is irritated and burning. Has anyone experienced this before?
Accepted Answer
Spicy foods can indeed cause digestive irritation for many people going through chemotherapy, as treatments often make the digestive system more sensitive than usual. This burning sensation after eating spicy food is something other community members have shared experiencing during their treatment journey. Consider keeping track of which foods seem to trigger discomfort so you can discuss dietary adjustments with your care team - they may have helpful suggestions for managing these symptoms while still enjoying flavorful meals.
