Hello my name is Kathie. I started on ibrance and letrozole in early January 2021. My cancer marker was at 200 and went down to 19 at one point. It is slowly creeping back up. Please pray for me to bet metastatic breast cancer

Praying for you 🙏. I started on the same protocol. When I had progression my oncologist kept me on Ibrance but with fluvestrant. Radiated my hot spots. I stayed on that about 6 years. Then, another hot spot, radiated and changed me to Kisqali and exemestane. Having side effects, so I'm off that for now. I see my oncologist on Wed. I'm celebrating my 9 year in 30 days. God bless you!

I'm on Letrozole and Ibrance. My tumor marker is down to 50. I just have so much pain in my hips. Anyone else?

What is a tumor marker and how do you find out what it is?

Judy- tumor markers can be measured with bloodwork. My onc runs a CA25-27 for me every month. There are other Cancer Antigen tests for specific cancers. I’m betting that you’ve had these run in the past. These numbers bounce around a bit month by month and inflamation can skew the numbers, but they trend a general indication whether or not your protocol is working and if things needs to be tweaked.

Kathie I am praying and believing you will beat it and I am praying the same for myself. I was on the same treatment and my market has creeped up but I initially had a marker of 1248 with treatment it got down to 29. When it started creeping up they moved me to Xyeloda. I go Monday to MD Anderson for treatment evaluation.Praying for you. You will beat this!

Zipporah, I have alot of bone Mets in my hips. I'm taking Cynbalta 90mg a day originally for depression, but it relieves bone pain. I can walk about 2 blocks before I have to rest due to bone pain. A brief rest and I can walk some more. I have very little bone pain if I stay around the house. I have Mets in almost every bone except below my knees and elbows.
